“Soar with the Falcons, Capture the Knowledge”

 Welcome to the Ashland Elementary School web page! We hope you will enjoy reading about one of the newest elementary schools in Prince William County. We opened in September of 2002, and had a wonderful first year. Our school received full accreditation after being open for one year and was named a School of Excellence by Prince William County Schools! 

Our school mascot is the falcon, and our school colors are red, white and blue.  Ashland’s student capacity is 840 students, which I am sure we will reach within the first few years! We are one of the schools in the eastern part of Prince William County which houses the SIGNET Program for gifted education.  We also have one autistic class, and a class for severely disabled children. 

At Ashland, our priority is to meet all students’ academic, physical and creative needs. We will strive to be sensitive to all individual differences and embrace cultural diversity. Our staff is comprised of wonderful, dedicated teachers who embrace this philosophy as well. We work with parents to support our school’s vision through the PTO, Advisory Council and school volunteer program. We value working together as a community, and together we will soar to make this a rewarding journey!
